Let's begin by describing emotional quotient (EQ); EQ is the ability to respond with purpose and objectivity instead of reacting instinctively; when we react instead of respond, more often than not, it is most detrimental.
Shifting our mindset from "Fight-or-Flight" to the "Pause-and-Plan" strategy sets us on a path[2] of recognizing the problem and fixing it; eventually attuning our instinct so that we react in a planned, pristine, and virtuous manner.
A more involved view into EQ delves into recognizing how people around are emotionally reactive and to help them as well. In this process, one would first navigate through their landmines to not trigger these reactions while still getting the point across. Eventually building enough trust to start pointing these eccentricities and work past them.
Programming Emotional Quotient (PEQ) is an expression of my “Start with Why”[1] and how to achieve it.

we build better relations and strive for excellence.
PEQ is the handbook (hand-blog?) I wish I had in school. It is meant to describe actionable tasks to discover the objectivity while understanding subjectivity. These should:- Increase self-awareness.
- Recognize when we jump to judgments.
- Build and improve relationships.
- Help track our goals and progress.
There is still the aspect of why change is ephemeral and why habits seldom stick. Backtracking is often a result of not simplifying the task enough. Hence, we program, we build constructs that are the most basic and repeatable, thus making it possible for us to become the best version of ourselves.
