Coachability begins with self-awareness and being on the constant lookout to challenge assumptions. One has to be willing to accept that which is thought to be a fact may in fact just be an assumption. If one is riddled with self-doubt, they are easily influenced. While those on the other end of the spectrum refuse to believe they could be wrong.
In a world teeming with influencers, this might seem blasphemous. However, the problem is not this axiom, the problem is with our choice of whom to follow. Thus possessing "Uninfluenced Coachability", the ability to hear contradicting information, suffer cognitive dissonance, work through conflicting ideas, and accepting the truth is priceless. In the rare case where the conflict may be due to atypical circumstances, identifying that exact criteria is just as important.
